Our livestock!

Our frogs and tadpoles have all got new homes. The tadpoles are now at Waterloo Kindy and the frogs have gone to Jordis's house to be Ben's pets. Thank you so much, Jury Family for the loan of your frog cage. It was great.
To replace them we now have 2 goldfish. I have named the white one Ika (Maori word for fish) and the gold one Kingyo (Japanese word for goldfish).

Interaction before school

It is lovely to see parents and children sharing before school.

Old cars come to visit

On Tuesday Mr and Mrs Cameron brought their 2 old cars to show us as part of our transport unit. We put Mrs Silcock's new car beside them and looked at things that were the same and different.

Storylines show

Last week we had a show at school. It was a story taken from 4 books which were finalists in the Childrens' book awards - Stomp, Waiting for Later, Rahui and another one (which unfortunately I can't remember !).

Football coaching

We had a week of football coaching recently. We learnt lots of ball skills.

Bella comes to visit

Bella came to visit on Friday. She had fun exploring our classroom. Bella is 4 months old.

Cross Country training

We are practicing our cross country running at fitness time. We need to wear sensible running shoes for this. We also need a drink bottle of water and a warm jersey to wear when we have finished.

Bird's egg

Ethan brought a birds egg to school for news. His mum found it In a crack in the fence. We don't know what kind of birds egg it is. Do you know?

ANZAC Day

Tomorrow is ANZAC Day. We made some poppies and wrote some stories about ANZAC Day.


Soldiers died in the big war. We wear poppies.

On ANZAC Day we have to wear a poppy.

On ANZAC Day we wear poppies. On ANZAC Day we remember the soldiers who died.

On ANZAC Day everybody wears a poppy to remember the soldiers that died at war. They did well. Some of them survived.

Tomorrow is ANZAC Day. The soldiers died. My family is going to wear poppies.

Term 2

Today we went to do Mathletics in Room 5 on the computers.

My challenge to you all is to see if all of you can get a certificate each week. To do this you will have work on Mathletics at home as well.
